Who We Are

Overeaters Anonymous is a fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength and
hope are recovering from compulsive overeating. We welcome everyone who wants to stop eating
compulsively. There are no dues or fees for members; we are self-supporting through our own
contributions, neither soliciting nor accepting outside donations. OA is not affiliated with any public
or private organization, political movement, ideology or religious doctrine; we take no position on
outside issues.

Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive overeating and to carry this message of
recovery to those who still suffer.

Central Massachusetts Intergroup
OA Program of Recovery
Overeaters Anonymous offers a program of recovery from compulsive eating using the Twelve Steps and
Twelve Traditions of OA. Worldwide meetings and other tools provide a fellowship of experience, strength and
hope where members respect one another’s anonymity. OA charges no dues or fees; it is self-supporting
through member contributions.

OA is not just about weight loss, gain or maintenance; or about obesity or diets. The fellowship addresses
physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. OA is not a religious organization and does not promote any
particular food plan. If you want to stop compulsively overeating, or under eating, and be free of the nagging
compulsion, call Overeaters Anonymous today.
